Do I need to go to a hospital for IG-SRT, or is it done in the office?

IG-SRT is done right in the dermatologist’s office – no hospital visit or surgery center is required. One of the advantages of IG-SRT is that it’s an outpatient procedure in a familiar clinic setting. The machine is compact and designed for office use. You simply come to our dermatology clinic for each session, which is run by our in-house team. There’s no need for general anesthesia or an operating room. This convenience factor is a big benefit: treatment can be easily incorporated into your routine without the logistics of a hospital admission. At Central Oregon Dermatology, we perform IG-SRT on-site in a dedicated treatment room, so it’s very accessible for our patients.
