Category: IG-SRT

The cure rate for basal cell carcinoma (BCC) treated with IG-SRT is around 99%, based on clinical data. BCC, being the most common skin cancer, has been extensively treated with IG-SRT in studies and practice. That 99% figure means that virtually all basal cell skin cancers respond completely to the full course of IG-SRT. This is comparable to the cure rate of Mohs surgery for BCC, which is typically cited around 98-99%. In fact, one analysis reported IG-SRT achieving slightly above 99% cure for BCC, whereas Mohs surgery cured about 98% – effectively, both are extremely high. For patients, this means IG-SRT offers a non-surgical route to the same successful outcome: permanent removal of the basal cell carcinoma.
