No, you won’t need special help or care at home after your sessions. IG-SRT doesn’t impair your ability to take care of yourself in any way. You’ll finish a treatment, and you’ll feel just like you did when you walked in. There are no wounds to dress or complicated medical tasks to do at home – just simple skin care like applying an ointment if instructed. You won’t feel weak or ill, so you can perform all your usual activities at home (cooking, cleaning, self-care, etc.). It’s not like a surgical recovery where someone might need to assist you for the first day or two. Therefore, you generally do not need to arrange for a caregiver. If you are someone who already lives alone and manages fine, you’ll continue to manage fine. If anything, maybe having a friend or family member as emotional support through your treatment journey is nice – but logistically, you should be self-sufficient. The only small exception might be if the treated area is on, say, your back or somewhere hard for you to see, you might ask someone to help apply ointment or check the area occasionally. But those are minor tasks and often you can do them yourself with a mirror. So, in summary, no at-home nursing or assistance is needed. You’ll be okay to do all regular activities after each session.
